About Learning to Grow Homestead

Our History

This website was initially established to promote a Forest and Farm Homestead based, Homeschool program. This program grew inspiration during COVID. I hope the school becomes a reality in the future.

However, our family's current dynamic is not prepared for such an adventure. Last year, our family home sustained a fire. We have been "in discussions" with our insurance company for nearly a year and a half.

When Allstate says "You're in good hands" they are lying to you.

Our Mission

At Learning to Grow Homestead, we dabble in so many activities. Our family raises budgies (parakeets), goats, chickens, barn cats, and Anatolian Shepherds/Livestock Guardian Dogs.

Our Products

We carry a wide range of products for your homestead and garden. Some products are seasonal and may NOT be available year round. We do have waitlists established for most items.

Below is a list of some of the items we offer or hope to offer in the future.

Animals include baby budgies, baby goats, fertile eggs, baby chicks, barn kittens, and property/guardian puppies.

Garden Items include gardening starts and established plants. Items ranging from basic herbs to medicinal plants.

Homestead-ish Items include eggs, goat milk, goat cheese, tinctures, essential oils, organic cleaners, jellies, butters, oils, pantry safe canned goods, freeze-dried meals and snacks and dehydrated fruits and veggies, and equipment rental services.

Kid-Friendly Activities include homeschool academic activities and games and farm tours/playdates to play with our babies at the time. In the future be on the lookout for a homeschool/drop-off program and date night drop-offs.

Miscellaneous Items include paintings, artwork, woodworking, making/selling garden boxes, chicken coops, or other animal shelters.
